Young dynamic entrepreneurs got an opportunity to bring out and showcase their entrepreneurial talent vis-à-vis the Young Entrepreneurs Mela was organized by the Commerce Department of Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola – Marcela, on the 6th of March 2017 in the Commerce and Arts block of the college. The mela began at 10.00 a.m by a short inaugural programme. Officiating Principal Dr. Jivexa Bhattacharjee cut the ribbon and declared the mela open in the presence of Dr Seema Rath , Dr S.V.Sukthankar , staff & large number of students .

At the food court Young Entrepreneurs wore their chef hats, tied on their aprons to provide tasty chat, Vada Pav, Chicken pav, cutlet, sandwich, pizza, potato chiseling, Gobi Manchurian, pickle, fruit salad, sweets such as ladoos specially Goan traditional sweet sirvoi with coconut ros and many more mouth watering dishes. To beat the heat of the new born summer students prepared lime soda, cocum sharbat, lassi with ice-cream.

For those, who prefer intangible stuff the service department had quite a few delights. Young ladies decorated their nails and hands with the nail and mehendi artists respectively. The cyber zone hosted computer games on a LAN network engaging the young guys in a battle for supremacy.

The mela was graced by the presence of our invitees. Two HSSC & one college attended the mela accompanied by faculty members. Visits of Parents of students, locals and also ex- students of our college made the occasion all the more memorable. The staff as well as non teaching staff of our college provided tremendous support to the budding entrepreneurs during the mela.

A sales dairy was maintained wherein feedback of sales and experience of the mela was recorded by the participating students. More than 60 entrepreneurs participated in the mela displaying around the same number of products. Each and every product was made by the students themselves. The college took pride in the achievements of the students and commends their efforts and entrepreneurial spirit. The mela concluded at around 2.30 pm.
