On the outset, Dr. Jivexa, Battacharjee, Offg. Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering. The director of Directorate of Higher Education, Shree. Bhaskar Nayak delivered the key note speech. He briefed the attendance rules of the Goa university and explained that 75% of attendance is compulsory for each student to appear for the semester end examination. He then remarked that this attendance record is an yardstick for the parents to know what exactly their ward is doing after leaving home.
He appealed all the parents present to register the Association under act and conduct the activities more beneficial to their wards. Director also called the parents to be an important link of the college.
There after agenda wise items were taken up for the meeting by the Chairperson of the PTIC, Prof. P.V. Chodankar. Shri.Umesh S. Redkar, President, of the PTIC in his speech expressed his satisfaction for large gathering of parents.
Many valuable suggestions were put forth by the parents. The suggestions were well taken up by the college and the meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the Vice-President, of the PTIC, Shreemati. Maria E. Saldana.
